The menu shines with meticulously crafted dishes that reflect the heart of Italy. Take, for instance, the burrata and prosciutto pizza; its thin crust and rich toppings create a delightful explosion of flavors. Feedback from patrons like Isra García confirms the exceptional quality, dubbing it "absolutely spectacular." Each dish is prepared with fresh ingredients, a not-so-common find in Bali, where spice often dominates culinary offerings.
Another highlight is the vegan ravioli, praised by Tuur Vanaudenaerde for its fantastic presentation and taste, scoring a solid 9/10. For those looking for classic comfort, the sourdough bread and grilled octopus are also must-tries, as noted by satisfied diners who continually return for the consistently excellent meals.
Pair your meal with one of their refreshing mocktails or freshly made juices that echo the vibrant flavors of Bali. The service here is commendable—friendly and attentive, contributing to an overall experience that feels both personal and genuine. As Robin Kristoffer Stang aptly puts it, La Baracca is "an absolute find," particularly for those weary from the frenetic pace of Bali life.
When dessert time arrives, don't miss the tiramisu, uniquely served in a traditional coffee maker, offering a playful twist on a classic favorite. The promise of a complimentary limoncello caps off your meal, reminding you that every good Italian dinner is best ended with a touch of sweet citrus.
In a culinary landscape that's often dominated by the prevalent tropics, La Baracca Bali stands out not just for its quality food but for the heartfelt experience it offers. It’s not merely a dining spot; it's an escape that transports you to a quaint Italian trattoria while you savor the flavors of Bali. So, if you're in the area, do yourself a favor and embrace the Italian warmth at La Baracca Bali—you won't be disappointed!
“ An absolute find if you're getting a little stressed out in the surf groupie jungle of motorbikes and loud music. Super friendly staff, food was fast and the most authentic European food so far in Indonesia (which for me means it's not flooded with spice or sugar). ”
“ Every time we are in Bali we came here for this 2 dishes. In love with their food! The staff is super nice and welcoming. See you next time ”
“ La Barraca Uluwatu – Delicious Italian Flavors in a Laid-Back Bali Setting We came to La Barraca in Uluwatu for dinner as a group of four, and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. We started with drinks: Iced ginger teas, A very refreshing tropical juice, And two watermelon juices—all freshly made and full of flavor. For the food: We shared some tortellini, rich and comforting. I ordered the burrata and prosciutto pizza, which was absolutely spectacular—thin crust, great balance of ingredients, and bursting with flavor. The ambience was relaxed and welcoming, the service was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable considering the quality of the food and the experience overall. ⸻ Verdict: La Barraca Uluwatu is a great spot for anyone looking for authentic Italian cuisine with a relaxed Bali vibe. ”
“ Cool restaurant, loads of seating in a nice back patio. The food was really tasty, the Mediterranean salad was solid and the pizza we got was great. The food took a really long time to come out, but they brought out some complimentary bread and apologized, it is clear this doesn’t happen often. I would definitely go back. ”
“ La Baracca – A Cozy Italian Experience The atmosphere was lovely, especially in the back, where you’re a bit more secluded from the street. We started with two different mocktails—one based on hibiscus and the other on raspberry. Both were well-crafted and refreshing. My wife originally wanted the vegan lasagna, but unfortunately, it wasn’t available. Instead, she opted for her second choice, the vegan ravioli. The dish looked fantastic, and according to her, it tasted just as good—she gave it a solid 9/10. I went for the breaded chicken, a classic dish that was presented as expected. The flavors were good but not particularly exciting. Still, it was a decent meal for a fair price. For dessert, we shared a tiramisu, which was creatively served in a traditional coffee maker. It was light, airy, and topped with just the right amount of cocoa. Personally, I would have preferred a stronger hint of amaretto, but that’s just a matter of taste. Food: 8/10 Service: 9/10 Vibe: 8/10 To top it all off, we were treated to a complimentary limoncello, which was a perfect way to end the meal. After all, in a true Italian restaurant, this is a must! ”
“ Very good restaurant, make sure you book at night because they are very busy. The guy that was taking my orders he is new, his name is Imron, he is very good and fast, I saw how he was also serving other tables and how he cares about details and satisfy the costumer, good job young boy, I wish you a good career, keep hustling ”
“ We stumbled upon this place by chance on Grab and decided to give it a try — and we’re so glad we did! The atmosphere was cozy and romantic, the service was attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious. We started with the sourdough bread they offer as an appetizer — warm, fresh, and so tasty. We then shared the focaccia, which was generously portioned and flavourful. The beef croquette was a standout for me — crispy on the outside, tender and rich on the inside. For our mains, we had the grilled octopus and the four cheese gnocchi. Both dishes were cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. To finish off, we shared the lemon sorbet, which was the perfect refreshing touch after such a satisfying meal. Can’t recommend this place enough — a hidden gem worth discovering! ”
“ This place was so cute !! The appetizers stole the show, and the atmosphere was so rustic and authentic. As the sun set the mosquitos did get a little crazy but they do attempt to deter them with some candles. Our main courses were alright, the gnocchi I ordered was a little over cooked leaving it a little gooey and the beef ragu had a thicker noodle, which may be okay for most but my boyfriend wasn’t sure how he felt about it. When we were done we were so full!! It really was a great last minute choice. We were even accompanied by a cute little dog, it was overall a great experience. ”
